Position Overview

Saltery is seeking energetic, outgoing, and dependable Seasonal Event Ambassadors to represent our brand at the Snowport Winter Market in Boston's Seaport District.

As a key member of our holiday team, you will create memorable customer experiences, introduce guests to our products through sampling and education, drive sales, and help maintain a beautiful and inviting retail space. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

Whether you're sharing recipe ideas, explaining our unique salt blends, or helping customers find the perfect holiday gift, you'll play an important role in growing the Saltery brand and creating a fun shopping experience for thousands of Snowport visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the Saltery brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and authenticity

  • Welcome and engage customers in a high-volume retail environment

  • Share the Saltery story and educate guests about our products, flavors, sourcing, and culinary uses

  • Conduct product sampling and tastings while maintaining food safety standards

  • Assist customers with gift selection, product recommendations, and purchases

  • Process transactions accurately using POS systems

  • Maintain attractive product displays and merchandising standards

  • Restock inventory and monitor product levels throughout shifts

  • Assist with booth setup, breakdown, and daily operational tasks

  • Keep the retail space clean, organized, and inviting

  • Contribute to achieving daily and seasonal sales goals

  • Create memorable customer interactions that encourage repeat purchases and brand loyalty

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills

  • Comfortable initiating conversations with customers and working in a busy public environment

  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Retail, hospitality, food service, tourism, or event experience preferred

  • Passion for food, cooking, gifting, or local artisan brands is a plus

  • Must be available during weekends, evenings, and holiday shopping periods

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during event shifts

  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds

  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in winter weather conditions

  • Reliable transportation to and from Boston's Seaport District
