Dutch Mess & Butcher's Wife

Those of us that are of Dutch ancestry probably grew up on Dutch Mess, a dish made out of creamy mashed potatoes, bacon, hard boiled eggs, scallions and lettuce. I continue to experiment with this dish which is quickly becoming a Dutch-Mexico Mess. My walk-in pantry has all the pouches of SOMOS foods make in Mexico. To this dish I added SOMOS pouches of Smoky Chipotle Mushrooms & their Pico de Gallo Salsa. I studied my growing 32 Saltery jars to find one that would blend well with the Mess. I tried Butcher's Wife. Perfect. Absolutely Perfect.

This is one of the best I have tried so far!

I used it on steak and the flavor was wonderful - I kept eating the beef plain because it needed nothing except the butcher's salt!

My most recent SALTERY order included Butcher's Wife. It is fantastic! I have been trying it on a variety of dishes. This morning I used it on Salmon Sashimi which was resting on avocado & sourdough bread. Simply Wonderful!
